Our Graduates

Our graduates are working as pastors, missionaries, women’s workers, children’s and youth ministers, biblical studies teachers in schools, university campus workers and leaders in many other forms of Christian service, both in Australia and abroad.

Many of our graduates are also laypeople, continuing their work with a better understanding of God’s Word and greater confidence to engage in godly conversation.

If you are one of our graduates, please stay in touch as we’d love to see where God leads you to advance His Kingdom.

Here are the stories of a few of our graduates in ministry positions, and what they value most about their time at Trinity:

Lachlan Edwards

Rector: Christ Church Anglican Church, North Sydney

Bachelor of Theology (2005)

“Being in a community of varied ecumenical traditions at Trinity enabled us to strip away our denominational presuppositions to really dig into what the Bible alone was actually saying. During my time at Trinity, it was becoming the evangelical hub for Western Australian Christians whose centre was the gospel of Jesus Christ and whose foundation was the Bible.

In ministry, especially in the North West, this equipped us to engage well with people from other denominations by focusing on our unity in Christ rather than our denominational distinctives. It also brought clarity to keeping the main thing the main thing when it came to evangelism and discipleship whether in Broome, Exmouth, Wollongong or engaging with other churches and mission agencies throughout the world.”

Samuel Budhathoki

Missionary in Nepal

Graduate Diploma of Divinity (2015)

Samuel works with a mission organisation serving in Nepal since 1952 in Community Health and Development. He serves in the ‘Diaspora Initiative’ department of the organisation that aims to equip and encourage Nepali Christians to be missional. To achieve this, Sam develops and delivers workshops on Faith, Work and Mission.

“The time that I spent at Trinity remained so valuable that I couldn’t have been able to do the work I am doing without the biblical knowledge I gained at College. The investment that Trinity makes in helping Christians grow as leaders is invaluable. Huge thanks to faculty and admin staff for all that you do.”

Matt & Kym Harding

Assistant Minister, Kallaroo Anglican Church (Matt)

Matt – Master of Divinity (2013); Kym – Graduate Diploma of Divinity (2014)

Matt is an Assistant Minister at Kallaroo Anglican Church with a particular focus on pastoring the young adults. He has the privilege of teaching the Bible through preaching, small-group Bible studies, and one one-to-one discipleship.

“My time at Trinity was significant in confirming my convictions that sitting under God’s word is a core part of Christian ministry. I’m continuing to build on the foundations I learned at Trinity in understanding and applying the Bible in ongoing ministry.

Kym particularly appreciated the chance to dig deeper into the Bible while at Trinity. This has led to a greater confidence in co-leading Bible studies and meeting with other women. We both value the relationships that were formed with peers and staff while studying at Trinity; many of which have continued in the years since graduating.”

Rowena McMicking

Head of Biblical Studies, Uniting Church school

Master of Divinity (2013)

“Since 2012, I’ve served as Head of Biblical Studies at a Uniting Church school in Perth’s northern suburbs. I have the best job in the world — I get to share the wonderful news of Jesus with teenagers through reading the Bible, answering tough questions and caring for them in the ups and downs of high school life.

Trinity equipped me with the tools I need to do this job: conviction that God’s word is the way to help people grow in Jesus; enough systematic theology and history to answer difficult questions; and a clear sense of the flow of the Bible’s big story.

Knowing these things, I can press on when things are discouraging and stay grounded when everything is great, entrusting all things to the One who judges justly.”
