Trinity Theological College offers study at four levels
All of our courses except the Certificate of Christian Studies are provided through the Australian College of Theology. Accreditation gives our students assurance of Australian and international recognition of their courses. Students are also able to transfer their studies to and from other teaching sites of the Australian College of Theology.
The Certificate in Christian Studies is an entry level course for anyone who wants to dig deeper into God’s word. It is excellent for Bible Study group members, trainee youth leaders, deacons and elders. It is also great for people looking to balance their life with solid Bible teaching.
New course - Diploma of Theology! This is a one year course similar to the Graduate Diploma of Divinity for people who do not have a previous degree. It is equivalent to the first year of the Bachelor of Theology. More information available online soon or at Open Day on 18th May.
The Bachelor of Theology, Master of Divinity and Graduate Diploma of Divinity are designed to provide theological depth, to lay strong foundations for many forms of Christian service and for future learning. Trinity provides a study skills unit to assist students in their learning, particularly those who have not studied in the arts or humanities area before. (Timetable for units being offered semester 2, 2013 is available here)
The Master of Arts (Theology) and Graduate Diploma of Theology is for people who already have a theological degree to provide the opportunity to be extended and deepened in their study and application of the Bible, theology and ministry. The Master of Theology is a degree for graduates of theology who show capacity in research and are looking towards extending their depth of knowledge in a particular area, especially with a view to teaching in theological colleges in Australia or
overseas. Units on research methods and preparatory study followed by research in one field of specialisation. (These are chosen from Bible and languages, Christian thought and ministry practice.) The MTh articulates to the Doctor of Theology (ThD)
The Doctor of Theology or Doctor of Philosophy is for those who wish to continue their research in an area of specialisation.
